Shumone is the VP of Marketing for the Asia Pacific Region for Levi Strauss and Co. and has been in this role since January 2010. He led the launch of Levi’s Curve ID jeans in 2010 and the first-ever global brand campaign, Go Forth, in Asia in 2011.
 
He has been in the company since 2001. His last role was as Managing Director of Levi Strauss (India) Pvt. Ltd. for the period of 6 years. He played a significant role in building the LS&Co business in India by leveraging Levi’s® to create the premium jeanswear category and by establishing leadership in the standard price category with a new brand Levi Strauss Signature® (now rechristened as Denizen® from Levi’s®).
 
Shumone holds a specialization in Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and is an Economics graduate from Presidency College, Kolkata. He started his career with Unilever group of companies in India and has also worked for a little below 4 years with Polysindo in Indonesia.
 
He is married to Trina and has two children, Shreya and Sai. He is also an amateur guitarist, loves traveling and reading travelogues.
