Professionally qualified as an Architect and MBA, Amit is a passionate real estate professional with over two decades of experience in the Indian and Middle East in Retail, Residential, and Commercial real estate domain. Throughout his career, he has ensured that he builds strong foundations for thriving businesses and augments revenue streams for his employers, based on professional systems, processes and high performance teams. Amit is currently the Director of Leasing at McARTHUR + COMPANY and works relentlessly with his team on the portfolio of mandated malls in the MENA region. He advises the developer owners in the region on function, economics, design and the best merchandise mix for making successful shopping centres in the long term. Some of the projects he has worked upon include Mall Of Qatar in Doha, Al Muzn Mall in Muscat, Manar Mall in Ras Al Khaima, Al Maryah Central in Abu Dhabi and Cityland Mall in Dubai. His previous role was that of Vice President, Sales at RMZ Homes in Bangalore, where he was responsible to drive the bottom line of a newly established vertical through the sale of luxury condominiums and villas, along with formulating innovative marketing and CRM strategies. In the same firm earlier he successfully shouldered the responsibility of commercial and retail leasing, including the successfully operational RMZ Galleria Mall. During his eventful journey, Amit has worked with some of the most prestigious domestic as well as multinational consulting, development and investment organisations including Ivanhoe Cambridge, Old Mutual, Colliers International, DLF Universal, Sahara India and Cushman and Wakefield. Having worked on many significant developments, Amit has gathered extensive experience in business development and planning, sales and leasing strategies, investment advisory as well as market research functions. In the past, Amit has been felicitated with awards such as "Most innovative professional of the year" and "Best retail transaction of the year". He has been nominated by many of his employers to attend several professional growth courses around the world, including a few from Harvard Business School. He has been a distinguished speaker at various real estate forums such as International Council of Shopping Centres, GRI, PE Insights, Franchise India, Nispana and Black Arrow etc. Amit likes to give guest lectures at leading management institutes such as Indian Institute of Management, Ansal Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Planning and Management as well as Symbiosis where he studied earlier. Well-travelled to the US, Canada, Europe, Africa and Asia, Amit loves playing golf as time permits.
